Cooking Oil & Butter
Remove as much of the foreign material as possible by blotting with a white terry cloth towel or scraping it with a dull knife or spoon. Apply a small amount of Coleman Spot Remover. Spray or dab the solution onto the spot and blot with towel.
Finally, using a spray bottle, rinse the spot with tap water and blot to remove excess moisture. Place a thick pad of paper towel or terry cloth over the spot and weight it down with a heavy book. This allows any wicking to absorb into the towel rather than drying on the tips of the carpet fibers. Let stand 12 hours.
If the spot remains, moisten the tufts in the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide and let stand 2 to 3 hours under a weighted sheet of plastic wrap. Repeat this application until the spot is removed.
